Building Green with Alpine SnowGuards® and EcoFasten Solar®
Our mission is to fabricate and supply premium quality snow retention (snow guard) systems, solar panel and photovoltaic accessories (PV) and universal roof attachments that will contribute points necessary for certification in the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Designs (LEED®) Green Building Rating System as required by the U.S. Green Building Council.
LEED® with Alpine SnowGuards® and EcoFasten Solar®
We use recycled steel when manufacturing Alpine SnowGuards™ and Universal Roof Attachments (URA) from Eco-Fasten™. The aluminum and stainless steel that we fabricate with contains 50% post-consumer recycled metal. The brass snow guards are made from 70% recycled material. The copper snow guards are made from approxiately 90% post-industrial recycled material. The steel, aluminum, brass and copper that we fabricate with are obtained from within 500 miles of our manufacturing facility.
Alpine SnowGuards® and the LEED® Rating System:
Alpine Snowguards® and the Universal Roof Attachments (URA) from EcoFasten Solar® are relevant in LEED® for New Construction (NC) Version 2.2 and LEED® for Existing Buildings. These are available at www.leedbuilding.org

LEED® Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings' performance. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
